See a doctor in Bethel — clinic, appointment, after hours, emergency
Two places in Bethel see patients, both by appointment — there is no walk-in or urgent-care clinic in town. Bethel Family Clinic, 430 Main Street, 907-543-3773, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm: it is a Federally Qualified Health Center, takes Medicaid, Medicare, Denali KidCare and private insurance, has a sliding fee scale, and says no one is turned away over ability to pay. After 5pm and on weekends call that same number, 907-543-3773 — it routes to their 24-hour on-call service. Their dental clinic is separate: 907-545-3996, 631 4th Avenue, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm. YKHC's primary care clinics at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital book at 907-543-6442 (from a landline or outside Bethel, 1-800-478-3321 ext 6442), Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; care there is at no cost for eligible Tribal beneficiaries, and YKHC publishes prices for people paying themselves. YKHC pediatrics 907-543-6297, dental 907-543-6229, optometry 907-543-6336. For an emergency, call 911 or go to the emergency department at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta Regional Hospital, 700 Chief Eddie Hoffman Highway; the hospital's main line is 907-543-6000. If you are in a village and it is after clinic hours, call your own village clinic's number — the call rolls over to a YKHC registered nurse.
