The Cultural Resources Department of Ketchikan Indian Community runs cultural and stewardship programs: a summer Culture Camp for Ketchikan/Saxman youth (Tlingit, Xaadkil and Smalgyax language, weaving, sewing, formline), a Canoe Program with community canoe runs, the Coastal Guardians / Green Crab Response Network, a spring herring-egg distribution at the dock, urban-creek restoration with the Southeast Alaska Watershed Coalition, and 'Friday Night Insights' talks at the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center.
