Borough volunteer fire and EMS department covering South Tongass and Saxman. To join: download the STVFD Membership Application, attach a copy of your driver's license, an Alaska State Troopers criminal history report (backgroundcheck.dps.alaska.gov) and an Alaska DMV driving record, then bring everything to the administrative office at 1900 First Ave, Ste 115 or the station at 5621 S Tongass Hwy. Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license; the membership committee checks references and may interview; a urinalysis is done on acceptance.
