Emerging Leader (ages 18-26) - Tlingit & Haida Ketchikan Community Council

Each year the Tlingit & Haida Ketchikan Community Council picks one tribal citizen aged 18-26 as its Emerging Leader: a one-year term, travel to Juneau for the annual Tribal Assembly, and learning alongside tribal leaders. Candidates send a Letter of Interest and attend the Community Council meeting where the pick is made (in 2026 letters were due in early September). For the current year's deadline and where to send the letter, call the T&H Ketchikan Community Navigator at 907-463-7758 (toll-free 800-344-1432 ext. 7758) or stop by 25 Jefferson Way, Suite 201.
