Please help AISD keep our school grounds clean and beautiful by reminding students to dispose of all garbage in the trash cans.

Read on aisdk12.orgAnnette Island School District·MetlakatlaToday, September 30th, is Orange Shirt Day, or as it's also called, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
It is a day of remembrance which recognizes the atrocities and multigenerational impacts of residential boarding schools. We wear orange to remember the children who were lost, to honor the survivors and their families, and to show commitment to the phrase, Txa’nii k’abatgüüłga łikłut’iksit (Every Child Matters).
The tradition of wearing orange on September 30th was started by Phyllis Webstad, a survivor of a residential boarding school. You can read about her story here: https://orangeshirtday.org/phyllis-story/#story.
